The Project

Showcases play an integral role in shaping visitors' perceptions - but businesses face a common challenge: how do we best utilise our spaces? With a portfolio of award winning properties spanning lifestyle offices, luxury residences, and family homes, this real estate leader was looking for a way to measure and improve the performance of their showcase. In order to design a solution, the first step was understanding the experience of individual visitors: how did they interact with the space? And data was key to unearthing patterns.

It's often difficult to assess how well a showcase space is being used. Technology lets us track space usage, visitor interests, and provides ammunition to follow up with personalised engagement.

What We Did

Real-time data to take the guesswork out of showcase design

Our solution is comprised of three components: Bluetooth visitor cards and gateways in each area, an account on our cloud-based platform for real-time analytics, and Gaia's AI assistant app for staff. The set-up allowed management to gather and review visitor data over time, making it possible to design around the preferences of key groups, identify high interest zones and minimise the friction of the experience.

  • 300+ bluetooth visitor cards
  • 50 Bluetooth gateways in the property

The Impact

Tracking trends over time to design a friction-free, high success visitor experience

Now it was possible to ask, for example, if there was a correlation between specific areas across the space. Maybe a single place was making a good first impression to visitors. With an understanding of dwell times and visitor journeys, the management was able to make decisions about how to reorganise or reorient the available space. Sensors and AI delivered crucial insights into how spaces can be optimised for particular audiences in the future, streamlining the experience at every step of their visit
